ADR-0004: Imagery on NIL33 and the Champions program is original and illustrative

Context

UnyKorn asked for athlete imagery that represents the system. A real athlete's photograph on an endorsement site implies endorsement (right of publicity, FTC Part 255). No Champion agreement is countersigned yet, and stock-photo licenses do not grant publicity rights.

Decision

All imagery is original and illustrative, generated on UnyKorn hardware (RTX 5090, ComfyUI, Wan 2.2 TI2V 5B, one frame per shot; prompts and seeds in tools/gen_images.py). No real person is depicted. Every page that shows imagery carries the sentence: "Imagery on this site is original and illustrative. No real athlete is depicted, and no one is endorsing anything until their countersigned agreement is on the ledger." Faces are avoided; shots are silhouettes, from behind, overhead, or cropped at the collarbone.

A real athlete's photo or video appears only under that athlete's countersigned agreement and written photo license (Champion agreement §3.2, Ambassador terms §6), item by item, and is removed on termination.

Generated images are licensed to Champions and Ambassadors on the ledger for use with the approved lines and the disclosure, via the creator kit.

Alternatives considered

• Stock photos of athletes — rejected; license does not cover publicity rights in an endorsement context.
• Workers AI image generation — rejected for now; the free daily allocation was exhausted (F-2).
• Real photos of Buck Vaughan — deferred until he supplies one with a written license (F-24, checklist item 4).

Consequences

• tools/gen_images.py and tools/img_convert.py are the reproducible source of every image; regenerate rather than hand-edit.
• The share-card maker bakes the disclosure and the "illustrative imagery" note into every card.
• Any image showing an identifiable face is regenerated before publication.
