Division I athletes must report third-party NIL agreements of $600 or more to NIL Go within five business days of execution or agreement on payment terms (College Sports Commission rules effective with the House settlement). This page does not submit anything and does not replace NIL Go, CAPS, counsel, or your compliance office. It helps you not miss the date.
Checklist
| ☐ | Classify the contract (third-party, institutional, associated entity, ambassador, agent, financial referral). |
| ☐ | If $600 or more and third-party at a Division I school: submit to NIL Go within five business days; consider the pre-execution review before signing. |
| ☐ | Aggregate recurring payments from the same payor toward the threshold. |
| ☐ | Business-purpose evidence from the brand (what they sell, why this athlete, fair-value basis). |
| ☐ | Written agreement signed by athlete and payor; the athlete attests the submitted terms are complete and accurate. |
| ☐ | Institutional agreements: in writing, counted toward the school's cap, no term beyond remaining eligibility, payment to the athlete or an athlete-controlled designated entity (verify current NCAA guidance with your compliance office). |
| ☐ | Athlete may have a parent, guardian, lawyer, or competent representative assist in negotiations. |
| ☐ | FTC disclosure text chosen and logged in the NIL33 placements log. |
| ☐ | Public-ledger disclosure consent and field selection recorded (KYA). |
| ☐ | Renewal and expiration dates set; re-verification date on the KYA profile. |
